A Community Partner

Pima Federal believes strongly in being a community partner and that our success is deeply tied to the success of our neighbors. Over the years, we have demonstrated extraordinary efforts in our community through the amount of volunteerism, educational support, and community giving/fundraising that we provide. We started our Community Stewardship Program in 2011 as a way to provide volunteer opportunities to our employees. Each year the program has become more and more impactful in our communities and in the lives of our employees.

In 2017, our employees volunteered over 2,667 hours in the community and taught financial literacy to nearly 1,264 students. Additionally many other students were given access to the Pima Federal sponsored Banzai Financial Literacy programs in numerous schools throughout Tucson. The credit union also provided financial donations of over $100,000 to local organizations. The Pima Federal Golf Classic raised $55,000 for Tucson Values Teachers to provide school supplies for teachers in our community.

We have a firm commitment to enhancing the standard of living in our communities and to make Arizona a more desirable place to live. Pima Federal commits to allowing our employees to volunteer in a variety of ways with a variety of organizations in order to contribute to the social fabric of our communities. We also encourage our employees to donate their own time to these organizations as a way to further the credit union philosophy of People Helping People.

We are proud to be the 2017 Community Impact Award recipient presented by the Mountain West Credit Union Association! This award recognizes a credit union program that positively impacts the community and strengthens the credit union movement. We are humbled by this recognition and inspired to continue helping others in our community, one member at a time.
